For more than 20 years, Dean has helped clients make confident financial decisions through comprehensive, purpose-driven planning, careful listening, and client education. Before founding Golden Ratio Wealth Management, he served as a CFP® professional, senior portfolio manager, and wealth advisor at Smith Barney, Morgan Stanley, and Wells Fargo Advisors. His two decades inside Wall Street’s major financial institutions shaped a clear perspective: clients deserve the disciplined analysis and resources of sophisticated wealth management without the bureaucracy, product incentives, opaque fees, or one-size-fits-all advice.
That perspective is reinforced by Dean’s scientific and mathematical foundation. He graduated from Colorado College as a Trustee Scholar with dual B.A. degrees in Mathematics and Physics and earned his M.S. in Physics from the University of Washington. His training shapes Golden Ratio’s planning philosophy: define the objective, understand the variables, test the assumptions, and make decisions with discipline. Golden Ratio was built to preserve the best of Dean’s experience—rigorous planning, thoughtful risk management, probability-based analysis, and long-term relationships rooted in trust—while leaving behind the sales culture, unnecessary complexity, and industry noise that can get between clients and clear advice.
Dean is active in charitable causes primarily focused on pediatric cancer research, including support for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. He supports Philabundance’s regional hunger relief campaigns and multiple institutions across the U.S. dedicated to music education. While serving on the Curtis Institute of Music’s Board of Trustees, he helped create the Annual Crescendo Club Fellowship. Dean and his wife, Julia, live in Wayne, Pennsylvania, with their daughters, Sophie and Corrina, and their bulldogs, Louie and Ella.
