Our Process

Our process begins with you- your goals, your motivations, and the future you want to build. We start with a thoughtful conversation designed to uncover what matters most and determine whether we are the right fit. The question is not simply, “Do I have enough?” It is, “Enough for what?”

We begin with a low-pressure conversation about your priorities, questions and concerns—no agenda and no statements required. We ask open-ended questions, listen carefully, explain how Golden Ratio works, and help determine whether our approach is likely to serve you well. If it is not the right fit, we will be candid and help point you in the right direction.

We take a deeper look at your full financial life and the next chapter you want to create. Together, we define, prioritize, and set realistic parameters around the goals that will drive your financial plan. We also discuss your assets, liabilities, income, taxes, insurance, estate planning, family structure, and the decisions ahead—both immediate and long term.1

1. Golden Ratio Wealth Management does not provide legal, tax, or accounting advice.

We prepare a written analysis to estimate the likelihood of funding your goals and determine the level of investment risk needed to pursue them. The goal is not to chase returns, but to take the right amount of risk for the right reasons.

We review the plan together, confirm assumptions, evaluate additional scenarios as needed, and turn the analysis into practical recommendations. You gain a clear view of where you stand, what matters most, and the next steps forward.

A financial plan should evolve as your life does. During the first year, we meet more frequently as your plan is implemented and coordinated with your broader advisory team. After that, we typically meet every three to six months to review progress, update assumptions, and refine the plan as circumstances change. In between formal plan reviews, our line is always open. Anytime life shifts or you wish to run a new scenario, you can reach out. That’s why we’re here.

What You Will Never Find in Our Recommendations

  • Variable, indexed, or fixed annuities
  • Structured notes and equity-linked products
  • Derivative-based portfolio strategies
  • Proprietary funds, hidden incentive layers, or recommendations driven by firm economics
  • Market timing, performance chasing, or advice driven by forecasts rather than financial planning
  • Recommendations that are not aligned with your financial goals
